I have to admit, I had tears in my eyes going over these photos this morning. Maggie (the one glowing in the picture who just gave birth 5 months ago!!) is a dear family friend and this was the first time I got to meet her second child, Aaron, and let’s just say I FELL.IN.LOVE. This baby is the yummiest creature alive!
Maggie, being the super mom that she is, was telling me how most days she only has time to throw on leggings with a t-shirt. Sound familiar? I wanted to create an upgraded version of her daily outfit for the moms out there who are running around all day!
The length of the denim shirt is very flattering with the leggings and the long necklace is a simple way to give the outfit an uplift without making it to fussy. The bag is the same $11 tote featured in yesterday’s post, but in a different color. It’s perfect for throwing in a couple diapers and “mommy supplies”!
Have a fabulous weekend!!

I have been a fan of Penny Chic for a while but this is my fav photo spread. The baby is just too cute and I love this look. I want to wear this on a weekend of shopping or running around with friends. I can’t get over that plaid handbag that just makes the outfit is only $11, wow I’m going to try to purchase it today!. Walmart here I come!!!

I love this look. So easy to put together as a busy mom on the go, not to mention super comfortable. My question is whenever I buy inexpensive shoes they always end up killing my feet. Hence the ugly clogs I usually wear. Any suggestions for making the more fashionable shoes comfy?

@Mari–you’re absolutely right! I didn’t even think of that!!!
@Annebeth–So happy to hear that you like the post! Means a lot xoxo
@Kristin–I found these “skin” tapes at the pharmacy that I bought on the back of my ankle or anywhere else that I feel discomfort from shoes. Try to stay away from shoes that have a stiff back! Most of Walmart’s shoes have been very comfortable for me. Target–ehh.
@Maggie–Thanks girl! You’re the perfect model!! xoxo

As a new mommy again to a 6 month old and two and a half year old, I can really appreciate this outfit. I’m always wearing my sneakers, yoga pants and a long sleeve t-shirt when I’m out and about w/the boys. This is def something I could wear that looks 100% more stylish and figure flattering. Again, great job w/this outfit. Mommy and baby look super adorable!
